About the Role
Owing to continued growth, RIEGL UK is expanding its UK & Ireland sales and support network and is seeking a Technical Sales and Support Engineer to strengthen our presence in the North of England. This is a hybrid, mid-level role with a dynamic mix of sales and technical responsibilities focused on our industry-leading terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) product line.

Key Responsibilities
Drive business development and generate new sales opportunities across Northern UK
Support RIEGL’s York-based technical operations, including:
Instrumentation testing and maintenance
Administrative support for RIEGL TLS service workflows
Customer demonstrations including support for southern UK regions
Helpdesk and technical customer support
Follow-up technical communications to ensure customer success
Delivery and enhancement of RIEGL’s training programs
Collaborate with both sales and support teams—50/50 split focus DW Foster Managing Director, RIEGL UK Ltd
Contribute to marketing initiatives including trade show representation and customer case studies.
Candidate Requirements
Experience in technical sales and/or support, ideally in a related engineering or geospatial technology field
Comfortable with hands-on instrumentation and customer-facing tasks
Strong communicator with a proactive mindset for customer engagement
Valid UK driving licence (required)
Based in Northern England at RIEGL’s York office, with travel throughout the region, Scotland and Ireland (Hybrid working an option)
Occasional international travel maybe required for training and event attendance
Some manual handling and frequent customer site attendance will be involved in this role. This may involve demanding terrain, and site inductions.
Right to work in the UK is a requirement.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with LiDAR and laser scanning technologies
Experience with digital marketing or content creation is a plus
